Migration of the Information System
Responsible for maintaining the operation of the information system and executing the migration of clients from the old system (VPN + RDP) to a newer architecture.
The old system was based on 4 Windows Server virtual machines; users connected via RDP/VPN, had their own profiles, applications, and access to MS SQL and Vasco databases.
Managed storage of large files (e.g., PDF invoices) on SMB network locations to reduce database load.
Implementation of the New System
Migrated to a new system with a locally installed application on user computers.
Implemented an OwnCloud (open source) virtual machine for storing large files with URL-based access, eliminating the need for VPN and RDP connections.
Ensured that the application successfully communicates with Vasco, MS SQL, and OwnCloud servers in the datacenter.
Configured integration of an email client within the application for automatic notifications triggered by specific events (e.g., procurement, delivery, etc.).
Managed user creation and permission assignments in the MS SQL database, OwnCloud, etc.
Project: Virtualization of Crypto Nodes (Checker Nodes)
The client was using 6 physical computers with various Linux/Windows systems and Docker containers for crypto nodes, without established backups.
Built a dedicated server (AMD, 128 GB RAM, 16-core 32-threads, SSD RAID 1 mirror) and migrated all systems to 9 separate virtual machines in a Proxmox environment.
Implemented daily automated backups to two physically separate locations to improve reliability and data security.
Project: AIMS Electronic Price Tags for Pharmacies (Digital Pricing)
Deployed the AIMS system (electronic price tag management) on a Windows virtual server.
Handled integration with the Pharmaco database via API (developed by programmers).
Performed physical implementation and installation of electronic price tags in the pharmacy.
Conducted onboarding and basic training for staff on system usage.
Project: Migration of Clients to Cloud Services (Microsoft 365, Nextcloud)
Performed migrations for clients in the legal sector (lawyers, notaries, consultants) from local file servers to modern cloud solutions.
Prepared analysis of existing folder structures, permissions, and workflows for each client.

System administrator for MMS – for client Salus
Maintained and expanded the MMS advertising panel system installed in more than 300 pharmacies across Slovenia.
Added new locations to the system and installed software (Windows IoT) on Mini PCs connected to TVs.
Configured remote access to devices and implemented automated power on/off scheduling based on working hours.
Performed regular maintenance, resolved issues remotely, and ensured system updates across existing locations.
